FREAKNIGHT MUSIC FESTIVAL

USC Events needed a way to illuminate a key entrance to their massive Halloween themed EDM concert in downtown Seattle.

NOVA delivered on this by using projection mapping to transform otherwise boring buildings into a massive canvas for awesome visuals to set the tone for the event as guests arrived.

EXPERIENCE

The projection mapping played the essential part of eye candy for 10’s of thousands of concert goers over 3 night.

When you see a giant tarantula crawl across a 4-story building you just can’t help yourself but check it out.

That plus seeing the lineup minute by minute while the line slowly moved on was a blessing to many without cell service.

CREATIVE

Each scene was carefully crafted to leverage the architecture of the building while still conveying the core look.

This included custom workflows that created animated scenes for the hundred’s of artist across multiple night and stages.

Another look was developed using a real life scale model of the building and then letting a real tarantula and creepy crawlies run all over it to then be projected on the wall.

SYSTEM

NOVA kept the lights on all night long with outdoor ready and secure projection systems.

In this case we designed a solution using the CUBIX Cubes as they are both structural as well as aesthetic which aided in the entrance appeal for the event.
