NOVA Light Labs was founded by Casey J. Nova in 2012 and took its current name in 2022.
The studio spans 15 years of projection mapping and lighting design, built through ventures including Sensebellum and Lumenarius, each serving its own corner of the field. In 2022 they became one house.
One name, one studio, one laser focused vision.

HOW NOVA WORKS
NOVA Light Labs is built to be focused, flexible, agile, and excellent.
Casey Nova directs every project start to finish, and a network of specialists is built around each one. Every project gets senior attention and a single point of contact from first call to final cue.
The studio takes on select projects and gives each its full focus. Every one is made to order: no package off the shelf, no basic price sheet. The room, the night, and what it needs to do shape the crew, the system, and the design. Never the same show twice.
NOVA is full service: the studio runs live events end to end, architects the system design for permanent installations, and builds custom visuals from scratch.

Booking NOVA Light Labs starts with a conversation: the venue, the dates, and the vision. From there NOVA prepares a proposal.
A project is confirmed once the signed agreement and initial investment are in place, and dates are held on a first come basis.

NOVA Light Labs handles live events as one continuous engagement.
The studio designs the show, builds the visuals, specifies the system, and directs it live on the night.
When the event ends, NOVA strikes it, and the room returns to the venue.

On permanent installations NOVA delivers the complete system design: the experience, the specifications, the documentation, and oversight through installation and activation.
The client procures the hardware and owns the system.

Custom visuals are available as a standalone engagement. NOVA designs and delivers content built to the exact system it will play on: any resolution, any format, any canvas.
The client's team runs it from there.
