LUSIO Lights
NOVA Light Labs delivered the lighting design that made the Volunteer Park Conservatory glow for LUSIO Lights in Seattle, Washington.
LUSIO wanted its signature conservatory night to read as light art from the first step through the door. NOVA Light Labs answered with a full venue lighting design, set and struck in a single day. The glasshouse became a lantern.
Battery powered LED uplights washed all 5 display houses extending the color to the panes of glass and the park outside. Every fixture ran untethered. TUBIX LED Bars nested in the plantings as clean geometric forms, and NOVA's Microscopia gave guests a hands on way into the plants themselves.
experience
Guests traded a cold Seattle night for a warm tropical glasshouse filled with color, music, and interactive light art.
Dark comes early to a Seattle winter. Outside, cold air. Inside, guests wandered a warm jungle of palms and ferns washed in saturated color, a DJ playing behind the leaves and drinks moving through the crowd.
At Microscopia, guests placed leaves and petals under a live lens and watched them bloom huge on an overhead screen, one discovery at a time. Lit geometric forms sat nested in the greenery, hard lines against living ones.
