NOVA Light Labs brought immersive projection mapping to Manatee Commune's live concert at the Neptune Theatre in Seattle, Washington.

Build Strong wanted the Manatee Commune set to feel unlike any other night at the Neptune. One room, one artist, one look. NOVA answered with a luminous ceiling of custom visuals built for the music and the architecture together.

The result wrapped the room. Stage, lighting rig, and ceiling read as one unified continuous field of light.

Inside the Neptune Theatre, the visuals reached past the stage and filled the ceiling overhead.

The crowd faced the stage. Above it, the lighting rig blended straight into a ceiling alive with color, expanding from the center and spreading across the dome and down the walls. Guests had to turn fully around to find a surface without light on it.

At the peaks the room lifted. Wonder, then release. When the music rose, the ceiling rose with it, and the theater stopped being a venue and became the artist's world for the night.

Custom visuals shaped to the ethereal textures and natural tones of Manatee Commune's sound.

The look started from the music. Soft organic textures, drifting color, the warmth already present in the artist's records. NOVA designed the visuals to stay ethereal at rest and turn motion heavy at the high points, so the imagery climbed with the elation of each drop.

Lit CUBIX Cubes on stage carried the same palette. Every look was built for this set, so the ceiling moved with the arc of the performance instead of looping behind it. The visuals belonged to the night.

Mapping the Neptune ceiling required multiple projectors positioned around the venue. NOVA studied the room layout in advance and used photographs to triangulate projector positions before load in. The plan was set before arrival.

On site, the setup went smooth and dialed in fast. Ceiling coverage blended into the stage lighting with no visible seam, and the mapped cubes on stage tied into the same system. Load in, map, show.
