An entire city park became an interactive playground of light and sound.

For 1 night in December 2017, the Seattle Art Museum commissioned NOVA Light Labs to create a site specific interactive art installation at Seattle's Olympic Sculpture Park.

NOVA answered with a large scale interactive lighting design built on TUBIX LED. Over 100 bars spanning 16 trees in the park all wired into a single system. A single touch sent light rippling across hundreds of feet of trees.

Hundreds of TUBIX LED bars climbed the 16 trees across the park.

At the center sat a scale model of the park, ringed with arcade style buttons, one for each tree.

A single button press lit the map with reactive projection mapping and cued a sound. The model rippled, and the park rippled with it, hundreds of feet of trees answering in light.

The effect was playful and stunning at once. Guests jammed to the beat while the park pulsed to their improvised scores of light and sound. A winter night turned to spontaneous revelry.
