NOVA Light Labs lit The Collective's grand opening in South Lake Union, WA with projection mapping and lighting design built for a lobby of glass.
The Collective, a high end social club built around the outdoors, wanted opening night to say so on sight. The catch was the room. A lobby wrapped in clear glass, open to daylight and the street, and glass invites the sky in: most projection fades against it.
NOVA metered every surface and tuned the output to hold, day into night. Topographic lines met guests at the entrance. Amber uplight and a mapped mural carried the brand through the rest of the room for one night.

From the first step the room read as the brand: topographic light underfoot, amber walls, a mural in motion.
Guests arrived over topographic lines projected across the entrance floor, the same contours that run through the club's identity. The mark landed at the door. Clean lines, instantly legible as the outdoors, with nothing extra asked of them.
Around the room, uplight held to amber, the tone of alpenglow rather than a wash of color. On the far wall, a black and white mural by Seattle artist Mimi Kvinge took mapped light through its stencil lines: trees, mountains, stars, and galaxies pouring across the contrast. Guests kept stopping there.
