Freaknight wanted its entrance to feel like part of the show, not a wait in line.
NOVA Light Labs answered with architectural projection mapping across downtown Seattle, turning plain brick facades into a canvas of light for the Northwest's legendary Halloween EDM festival.

A giant tarantula crawling across a 4 story building stops a crowd cold. The projection mapping held that attention, turning a historically long entry line into the first thing worth watching all night.
It carried information as well as spectacle. The facades read out each night's lineup minute by minute, a quiet gift to a crowd packed in with no cell service.

Every scene was built to the architecture, mapped to the brick and windows rather than pasted over them.
Custom workflows generated animated content for the hundreds of artists playing across multiple nights and stages, each scene tuned to the building's real geometry so the light moved with the structure instead of against it.
One look was made entirely by hand. NOVA built a scale model of the facade and released live tarantulas and insects across it, filming them as they crawled, then projecting that footage back onto the full size wall. Real motion, real texture, no simulation.

The rig was built for an all night run in an open air downtown setting: weather ready projectors, locked signal paths, and hardware staged to hold up through a packed festival crowd.
NOVA specified CUBIX Cubes as the mounting structure, structural and aesthetic at once, doubling as part of the entrance appeal itself.
