ember lounge
Desert Ridge Marketplace wanted to bring deep winter to the desert, a ticketed ultra lounge for District Dome.
NOVA Light Labs answered with a 360 geodesic dome projection mapping system, designed to transform the space into an enduring winter world.
It runs night after night, booked solid and closed just as often for private events. A winter escape that holds no matter the weather outside.
experience
Guests step out of the Arizona heat and into the heart of winter.
Snow drifts overhead while it stays 75 and sunny outside. The room turns cool and low and dark, a forest climbing every wall. Then the show begins.
For 60 minutes the dome becomes a snow capped world, sound moving in every direction, firelight flickering across the struts. Food, drink, a ceiling full of stars. The spectacle holds the room.
“Wow! What a fun experience! I loved the projection show and have never seen anything like this before. Great vibes, will come back with friends.”

the art
The custom visuals for Ember Lounge wrap the full dome in a 360º winter world.
Every scene centers on winter in a cabin, mapped to the architecture and struts of the dome itself. Snow capped forests, drifting light, a slow luminous quiet.
Environmental sound threads through the imagery. Together they carry guests into softly flickering firelight and the hush of deep winter.
system
NOVA engineered the projection mapping system that drives Ember Lounge.
The design specifies a rack mounted server feeding 7 laser projectors, mapped across the full geodesic dome in 4K.
A 360º sound field wraps the room, tuned to stay clean and even inside a dome that fights every reflection. A snow machine and synchronized effects complete the system.
Truly a complete package.
