The Winter Solstice is a truly universal holiday.
Every culture has marked it. Since antiquity, the return of the sun has been met with light. NOVA Light Labs answered the occasion with Polaris, an original immersive projection mapping show at the Art Revel Gallery in Boise, Idaho.
Wall to wall projection wrapped the gallery in original 8K visuals. A synchronized tree, custom ornaments, and an original score. A sold out show of cosmic proportions.

Once inside every sense became part of the show.
Guests checked in to a symbolic sacrament candy, a seasonal libation, and the scent of real fir. Winter soundscapes set to electronic melodies filled the room while rich imagery played across every surface.
For 60 minutes Polaris carried guests through 10 original artworks set to music, including a solo improvisational performance by violinist Alyssa Joy.
The room went quiet and the longest night turned luminous. A spectacle for the ages.

Ten original custom visuals were created for Polaris, each one hand crafted in full immersive 3D at 8K resolution.
The gallery walls fell away and became a window into each world.
Flying reindeer and magical amanitas. Impressionist cathedrals, neon yuletide tunnels, geometric temples, and slow particle fields, with a lone reindeer slipping between scenes for anyone watching close.
Every scene is rendered in true 360º, so the work is never bound to one room. The studio can bring it to a dome, a sphere, or any surface it is thrown across.
The full collection is available to license as immersive dome content through the NOVA Library.

Every space is unique from every angle.
A full 3D model of the Art Revel Gallery mapped every projector position and throw. Alignment was locked in software before a single scene reached the walls.
A custom server drove the show, synchronizing 6 independent projection surfaces for clean, precise playback across the room.
Pixel mapped tree LEDs and a synchronized score pulled the last surfaces into the system. Every element orbiting together as one.
