In Studio Immersive Projection dinner
A dining room that dissolves into light, built by NOVA Light Labs to show how far immersive projection mapping can go.
The studio staged the whole thing in its own space, a room where projection wraps the walls, the floor, and the table into one continuous world.
Room and table move as a single piece, and the surface answers a guest's hands as they reach across it. It set the blueprint NOVA has refined ever since.
experience
Guests walked into the room, eyes wide.
The space read them from the first step. The moment they reached for a glass of bubbly or a bite from the charcuterie board, an overhead 3D camera caught their hands and drew colorful topographic lines across them in real time.
Every course arrived with its own world. Color, ambient sound, and pixel perfect visuals mapped down to the plates shifted the entire room to match the food.
“It’s nothing like I have ever witnessed before, truly astounding!”

the art
Every course needed its own world, carried in custom visuals.
NOVA designed each look around the geometry of the room and the character of the food on the plate.
For all 4 courses, a single mapped video held the color, the motion, and the alignment to activate every wall and surface at once.
system
The real work is hiding the machine.
NOVA brings over 15 years across every form of projection mapping to the problem of driving multiple high definition projectors as one synchronized image.
Workflow, cable runs, and power are all engineered so the projectors sit virtually hidden. The show runs clean, stable, and repeatable night after night.
