JUMP illumibrate
2024 room

Immersive projection mapping meets interactive art in a room pulled from the stars.

For JUMP's 2024 ILLUMIBRATE Festival, NOVA Light Labs delivered the ultimate immersive projection experience in Boise, Idaho.

With the SKIP room as a blank slate, NOVA took every wall to another level with 100% original custom visuals, set to the theme of the signature interactive art anchoring the center.

experience

Guests stepped into a science center from the future.

Living light wrapped the room on all sides while a set of rare interactive installations held the center. Families leaned in, hands out, moving from one glowing station to the next.

The room ran on amazement. STEM came alive, and the line between visitor and exhibit dissolved into light.

“NOVA Light Labs brought two amazing installations to our annual ILLUMIBRATE Festival and both were huge hits with the public!”

the art

Science themed custom visuals filled the space from wall to wall.

Flowing scenes of Earth from space carried the overview effect, surreal blends of plants and magic, and digital landscapes that fused the natural and digital worlds around the guests.

3 panel sequences set ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs and neoclassical ruins against rocket launches and turning galaxies, juxtaposing past, present, and future in a single moment.

Building looks like these for immersive spaces takes tremendous skill and compute at an effective 12k resolution. The overall effect is nothing short of legendary.

system

3 walls, 9 projectors, over 150 feet of mapped surface.

Drawing on years of deep projection mapping experience, NOVA activated more than 150 feet of display surface across the SKIP building.

From 3D model to on site execution, every detail and angle was accounted for. 9 projectors, 3 walls, 1 continuous mapped canvas.
