Field to Table

Projection mapping made the entrance the first course of a ticketed culinary night at Lumen Field.

SE Productions brought its Field to Table signature series to the open field at Lumen Field in downtown Seattle, Washington: notable chefs, reserved tables, a stadium at night.

The entrance had to be on point. A plain white chef's tent would simply not do.

NOVA Light Labs delivered by mapping the tent itself. The night's ingredients moved across the canvas at full scale, and each evening carried the name of the chef cooking inside.

The tent’s surface became a branded asset instead of an eye sore.

experience

Custom visuals of the night's ingredients wrapped the chef's tent while guests crossed the field under an open roof.

Guests arrived after dark, the roof open to the sky. Ahead, the chef's tent glowed. Produce drifted across the vinyl edge to edge, and the structure itself seemed to change.

The art took the theme literally. Field to table, rendered in light: the same ingredients bound for the plate, moving across the walls of the kitchen that would cook them.

“Field To Table is as EPIC of a dining experience as it appears; believe the hype.”

system

An automated, weatherproofed projection mapping system ran the show night after night through a Seattle winter.

Projectors ran inside weatherproof outdoor enclosures built for a multi week run. Startup was automated. Each evening the on site team entered the night's chef into a programmatic title layer, and the name appeared in the mapping with no re-render.

NOVA monitored the system remotely with the studio's in house tooling. Weather shifted. The show did not. The system delivered reliably across every weekend of the early winter 2021 run in Seattle, Washington.
