For one winter night in Spokane, Washington, the house held a galaxy. Starfields drifted over the proscenium arch and familiar themes surfaced in light, the Art Deco ceiling catching every pass.

Inside the Fox Theater, projection mapping turned a landmark house into part of the score.
The audience arrived for a symphony and found the theater already in character. Light traced the arch as the first theme rose, and the ornate ceiling shifted with the music overhead. Heads tipped back.
Between movements the melodies carried into color and motion, the theater's ornament catching each change. Eyes kept leaving the stage. A room the city thought it knew had joined the performance.
