NOVA Light Labs created custom visuals for the fall season at Idle Hands, an immersive cocktail lounge in Phoenix, Arizona.

Idle Hands came back for fall. The projection mapping world behind the bar changes with the seasons, and NOVA was commissioned to carry it into autumn: a scene spooky enough for October, seasonal enough to run for months, with Halloween underneath rather than on top.

Eternal autumn. Candles drift over a swamp of bare trees, moons turn overhead, and pumpkins grin along a floor of streaming light. The loop hides its seam. The season is here at a glance.

Past the glass behind the bar, an autumn night slides by at a crawl, and the whole room seems to move with it.

Guests look past the bottles and the world beyond the windows is underway. Nothing rushes. The scene advances slowly, and the parallax turns the glass into a portal: the room itself seems to glide through the woods.

Orange light is kind to a cocktail lounge, warm to drink by and dark enough to keep the mood. It matched the candles, the decor, and the drinks on the fall menu. When the venue threw its Halloween party, the art held the room.

Every element is built by hand. Bare trees rise from a swamp floor raked with lines of streaming neon, floating candles sway in the dark, and the phases of the moon arc across the sky. None of it is stock. The scene exists nowhere else.

The Halloween notes read as texture, not costume. Pumpkins glow at the path's edge, a skull burns green, cocktail glasses stand at the scale of trees with perfect reflections, and a glass conservatory deep in the scene echoes the room's own roofline.

The camera never stops. The seam never shows.
